Storytelling for Premium Yacht Brands

Translating Scandinavian craftsmanship into compelling English narratives for international buyers.

I focus on premium marine brands with international clientele.

My work centers on storytelling — owner experiences, model narratives and heritage communication designed to build trust with global buyers.

I translate engineering precision into confident, emotionally resonant English that supports long-term brand positioning.

About me

My first experience with yachting had a real touch of adventure. It was 2006, I was 21, and a friend in Lisbon invited me on a luxury yacht of her Belgian friends who were participating in the Tall Ships Races. That same day, I met the Czech crew of a “competitive” smaller boat. Who just happened to look for help.

I had planned to stay in Portugal, but the desire to explore new horizons was stronger. I eventually made it all the way to Cádiz in southern Spain on the boat. A little later, my boss’s family invited me on a weekend cruise on Lake Mälaren near Stockholm. That was also the first (and last) time I tried surströmming. And I fell in love with calmer inland waters.

Since then, I have tried working in various fields, but my love for the water has not left me. So in 2022, I started writing texts in Czech for Yacht magazine. Mostly about new yachts and motorboats. In mid-2025, as a freelancer, I acquired a major client in the form of the Bratislava-based company Imidjex, which distributes sailboats and yachts from the French shipyard Jeanneau, Finnish heavy-duty workboats Targa and RIB boats Zodiac to the Slovak market.

I have experience in writing and editing texts in English, Czech and Slovak. As a polyglot, I can also process source materials in Polish, German, Swedish, Spanish and Portuguese. Even though I live inland, I am close to the Baťa Canal on the Czech-Slovak border, which is a popular place for lovers of water fun.

I love Sweden with its lagom and minimalism. The gate on my house is painted with faluröd paint, in my study there is a solitaire in the form of a painted brudkista from 1826 and I keep a Bible in Swedish, which is another 19 years older. I drive a Saab. In my dining room, I have pictures from loppis, depicting old Stockholm and a church somewhere in Småland... and I worked at IKEA during my studies, which is just the icing on the cake.

Combining my passions – the marine sector, languages, writing and Sweden – is a rather logical basis for my current professional direction. Thanks to my knowledge of the Scandinavian market, international background and flair for language, I can turn your texts aimed at international clients into readable stories that will touch hearts.

Sample Excerpt

The first night offshore is always the true test. When the coastline disappears and the motion settles into a steady rhythm, you begin to understand what a yacht is truly made of. It is not only the laminate schedule or the ballast ratio — it is the quiet confidence of a hull that moves predictably, the reassuring solidity underfoot, and the knowledge that every fitting was installed with care.

If you are looking to refine your international voice, I would be glad to connect.
